At Abu Dhabi Grammar School Students explore the fundamentals of music theory, performance, and composition through interactive activities. They begin by learning to read musical notation, understand rhythms, and identify key signatures and scales. Students engage in group instrumental ensembles, practicing collaboration and developing their performance skills. Music history lessons connect students to influential composers and cultural movements which lead to fostering an appreciation for global music traditions. Students explore various styles and genres and experiment with harmony, dynamics, and tempo. The course often includes hands-on activities such as improvisation sessions and performance workshops. Recitals and music video recording, allow students to showcase their skills in front of an audience. By the end of the course, students gain a deeper understanding of music’s role in expression,
communication, and creativity.
