This is manifested through how they deliver and develop the curricula, in their teaching whether in a classroom setting or outside the school’s campus and when they welcome new families.

On behalf of the staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all returning students and those new to the school. Your attitude will determine what kind of year you will have. A positive attitude with optimism, determination, and a strong work ethic will make you successful.

Students’ enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication in their academics and school activities create a special school culture. Please recognize that changing demands of society require higher levels of academic competency. Each of you is individually responsible for your success and the pursuit of lifelong learning skills.

School Principal’s welcome message

PATRICK SAVAGE

I am excited and honored to be back in the UAE as Principal of AGS. This is my 42nd year as an Educator and my 31st year as an administrator. I am very familiar with the Nova Scotia system. I was born, raised, and educated in Nova Scotia. My home is there and all my teaching and administrative years were in a Nova Scotia school, home and abroad. AGS follows the Nova Scotia curriculum identical to what my own children studied. All AGS students will graduate with the Nova Scotia diploma, which is recognized around the world. Our students compete internationally and attend Universities in many countries. Some return to their home countries, with many travelling abroad accepting scholarships. The Nova Scotia diploma opens many doors and our students are accepted into the best Universities around the world. We are very proud of their accomplishments. I look forward to working with our students, teachers, and school community while maintaining the high standards of education our school is well known for.
